This festive season, gather with friends, colleagues, or family in a setting that feels warm and welcoming. At The Prince of Wales we keep things simple: good food, good company, and a space that works for you. As we are based just outside South Woodham Ferrers and just a stone’s throw from Maldon and Chelmsford we offer a unique countryside location that’s accessible for your guests.

Choose from our Orangery or our Oak Framed Heated Marquee

Choose between our light-filled Orangery, or our new wooden-framed tent — a cosy winter space designed for relaxed get-togethers. We can host groups of all sizes, from a quiet table for a few to gatherings of up to 30 / 40 seated or more for buffets or less standing reception events.

Food is at the heart of what we do. Our menu is built around farm-reared, grass-fed beef and lamb from our own farm, alongside honest, home-cooked dishes made from scratch. To drink, we offer local wines chosen with care, and for something a little different, we can arrange a guided wine tasting. Live music can also be arranged if you’d like to add atmosphere to your evening.
