Throughout the year we take great pleasure in showing off this region by running wine tastings, takeovers and guided wine walks from the pub. In the Prince of Wales we serve 5 still and sparkling wines produced by Hollands, a boutique winemaker based here in Stow Maries.

Thanks to its dry climate and long sunshine hours, Crouch Valley produces some of England’s best still wines—rich, ripe, and more concentrated than many other UK regions. Our areas is one of the driest and sunniest parts of the UK, however as we are situated between the Crouch and Blackwater rivers this area also has a cool climate which adds freshness and acidity to the wines that are grown and made here.
